Brothers and sisters, can we please stop fighting? LUNCHBLOG was founded to bring people together at the table of brotherhood and to celebrate a meal that must be eaten in either 30 minutes or 60 minutes based upon the constraints of your workplace. If you'd like to be on LUNCHBLOG, please send me an e-mail. I don't know everyone's availability and LUNCHBLOG is here to make everyone happy. EVERYONE.

Today's LUNCHBLOG guest: The still unequaled elegance/radiance/brilliance/magnificence that is Amanda. Lunch took place at - Fox & Obel. We constructed: "Picklesaurus" AKA "Son of Picklehorse (UK)"...Picklehorse (UK) was killed last Wednesday when a busboy crushed him under a soup plate. RIP Picklehorse (UK). Lunch was decidedly, a total success.

Today's LUNCHBLOG guest: The unequaled beauty and genius that is AO. She carries that pimp cane around with her wherever she goes (in this case it happened to be at a Cubs game last summer). She's not afraid to flash that rock sign either. LUNCH WILL TAKE PLACE AT: some place near the Sheraton, where AO is doing some offsite work. LUNCH WILL BE: The best b/c she the bomb. That's how she roll. 

Today's LUNCHBLOG guest is Sean of Blam Studios.

Sean will be the default guest for Friday and Saturday as well. And there's no shame in being a "default guest", because as all who have hung out with Sean will attest, he's an awesome dude. Today features pre-production, 8 track demo transfering & studio demo-ing of new Sleep Out material. Friday & Saturday will feature the completion of new mt.st.helens tracks and will feature cameo vocal work from Miss Alex White.

Today I'll be recording the definitive studio version of a song Chris Saathoff and I wrote together in December of 2003.

A: LUNCHBLOG is a weblog dedicated to documenting lunch dates with whomever happens to be free on that particular day.

A: After quitting my mind numbing job and taking a sabbatical, I decided that working on my resume, exercising and reading (all worthy activities during the day) should be supplemented by lunch dates with people I know. Thus staving off a condition known as: boredom.

Q: Can I join you for lunch?
A: Sure...but I have to know you.

Q: Haven't you already gone out to lunch with just about everyone you know?
A: More or less, yes.

Q: Then what's your fucking point about 'having to know me?'
A: I don't know, it just seemed like the proper response. There are a lot of scary people in this city.

A: Yes, LUNCHBLOG (UK) should soon become a reality. Just check back for updates.

LUNCHBLOG: Today's guest = Ben from mt.st.helens/sleep out. Lunch took place at - Earwax Cafe on Milwaukee Ave. Ben was a little more tan than usual, Mexico will do that to you. He was wearing the outfit picture above. Earwax were pretty cool about it...although they made him extinguish his corncob pipe when we sat down. Fucking fascists.

It doesn't make no sense no. It's not convenient no. It doesn't fit my plans but I got that taste in my mouth again oh. F.E.E.L.I.N.G. C.A. double L.E.D. L.O.V.E. What is this thing that is happening to me F.E.E.L.I.N.G. C.A.double L.E.D. L.O.V.E. What is this thing that is happening to me. Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah. Ooh.
 

Today's lunch guest: Nate of Driftless Pony Club and Sleep Out. Lunch took place at: Pizza Metro on Division. It was: The bomb.  

If I could do yesterday over again about 500 times, I would. As I described it to someone similarly lost in the day with me "I'm going to store this day away and think about it the next time I'm having my teeth drilled." That relaxing. Then, for an unrelated reason, I watched that someone have a 25 minute laughing fit. Also a good reason to relive yesterday over and over.

Life is pretty good right now. If a band blows up and my work transition is completed this month, life will be the best. Plus, having top-secret projects to work on is great too. And lots of prospective projects for the future make the days a little more fun. And coffee is good too...more in the sense of coffee-as-ritual than coffee as caffeinated drink, although that can be good.

And my two favorite musical discoveries over the weekend couldn't be more different. Juana Molina and Converge. I can see Juana Molina having more staying power but Converge represent everything I like about aggressive music and they sound like Born Against or Mohinder or something, only a lot harder.

And the 6way birthday party was a total success. The Cook Sisters, JP and Torri get extra special thanks for throwing an excellent "Cupcake Afterparty" which featured a member of "Tha Life Potnaz" trying to smear chocolate frosting all over my coat after it was smeared all over my face. And emcee High Life gets a shot for making me an awesome nu-country mix cd that features a song that goes "She thinks my tractor's sexy". Hope your house was in tip-top shape when you saw it, dudes.

And Apple picked up my broken ipod on Tuesday and had a replacement on my doorstep on Saturday. Holy shit. This would be even more remarkable if it were the first time that had happened. Note to Steve Jobs: While your ipod product has changed my life for the better and I definitely and worse off without one, please make it a little more durable so I don't have to send it back to you every 6 months for a new one. And make the screen less easy to scratch. And make a better way to use it in your car.

Ben is on the beach in Mexico with his lovely wife.

They have a top secrect project of their own. Nice work, dudes.

Looks like Pete and I are on the same page. Running is fun Pete, but I'd wait until it warms up a little bit more to really get that going. And you should try running with a cigarette in your mouth, that way you're getting the best of both worlds. My current routine = lifting weights in my room while listening to Led Zeppelin which of course =
