Nate - I know how you got sick...I think it was when you were cleaning the tea off of my chin in the middle of our set....Sam looks like the devil in this picture. That tea was infected, my friend. Unfortunately as DPC would say a "sexy bioterrorist" got to me first.....
Owl couldn't sleep -- not while the bees were buzzing, the crows croaking, the starlings chittering, and the jays screaming. Every time there seemed to be some peace and quite, someone else landed in the hollow tree and woke Owl up again. Would Owl ever get any rest?
Father...you have tempted me with your "netflix" once again....and I have reached out to you and begged for your forgiveness....yet you do not answer me...instead I have fallen ill...too sick am I to travel out to the taverns, homes of friends and warm bosom of companionship that I long for...too sick am I to find the strength to abandon this bed of goose down and this mug of mint tea...my heart is stone....my spirit is crushed....I have nowhere else to turn.....
Okay, so this has been bugging me...that's not Nate playing bass....it sort of looks like Sam, but that makes no sense. Anyone who can correctly identify our phantom bass player will win a super secret prize. This photo was taken 1.14.05 at the Bottom Lounge. Maybe somebody assualted Nate, dragged him behind the curtain, stole his clothes and played one song with us that night?
A great weekend all in alll....Here's a pic from The Ghost/Colossal/Honor System/mt.st.helens show in Elgin, back in the summer of 2003. I'm going to miss seeing the Ghost perform but Hanalei is a more than worthy successor (as the students of Earlham College learned on Saturday). Quakers....
If anyone asks, please tell them we're away rocking Indiana. And thanks to everyone who came out to the bottom lounge last night, we were honored to take part in the Ghost's final show.
